Packing for a trip can be a nightmare for someone.
But I think every nightmare has a solution.
Here are simple steps that I follow for packing.
1- List: Make a list and write down how many days and nights you are traveling.
2- Plan : Plan each day and night! Have an idea what you are going to do.
3- Make a three pile: Group your pieces into three piles that you wish to bring.
Categorize them by: Sure / For Sure / Maybe
4- Try : If you are combining pieces then try them on before. You can pack each outfit within the luggage separately from another. That way you can get ready fast and you probably won’t need to bring extras.
5- Key Pieces : Bring key pieces. If you are going to warm places bring a pair of good shorts which you can wear multiple times. I always bring a good pair of denim with me. A white tee is always chic and effortless. A pair of black shoes is necessary on your trip, etc...
6- Snacks: I always bring my favorite snacks along. You never know the flight situation before hand and you definitely don’t want to be stuck with airport food. I know that I always get hungry. hahaha
7- Check your list: I always write down every single detail. I don't stop with the travel details. We have a dog: So I have to plan out her stay as well... dog food, where she is going to stay, what time do we need to drop her off. Other things that need to be thought of are unplugging all electronics at home. So when you are in the airplane you don’t need to worry since you checked everything off the list.
I partnered with Ectu Los Angeles. We are going on a small get away for Thanksgiving. I am taking their weekender bag with me. I absolutely love their quality and clean design. One detail I really like is that there is a dedicated space for your iPad inside the bag. You can carry it with the shoulder strap or just in your hand. My favorite part was the packaging of the weekender bag itself. It came in a beautiful duster bag. here is the link to their bag:
I also highly recommend Ectu Los Angeles' website for other amazing bags.
