How is social media affecting your life? They are so many questions around that topic, so I am not surprised that they call it a "fake" world!
Let me tell you how I feel and how I started my social media channels.
When I first opened my Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest accounts, I didn’t realize that these are going to be my inspiration sources. Now I am looking at "walls" in a completely different way than before. I was amazed how eyes can captured around an ugly building or other objects seen from their view or perspective. I was falling in love with social media users' creative visions. Their perspective opened so many unknown doors in my mind. Social media reminded me who I was as a creative person. I was already really creative before social media came into my life. Working on DIY - Projects, styling and more... But I never imagined that it could become something special in this world. I started seeing regular boxes in a different way.
I am not searching on social media for creative input If I don’t feel creative at all that day. I don’t even touch nor check my accounts. It could happen that I don’t even post anything for a couple of days. The online world should be positive and creative. When I don’t have anything to give to my audience or myself then I just like to take a walk or go enjoy a coffee in a cozy coffee shop. I create beauty in the real world first.
I like creating boards and connecting with people with similar interest from all over the world. Isn’t it amazing? I got to know many people that way. They even decorate their houses, eating out fancy or cook themselves and that just because of their social media accounts. After the "social media life" users started respecting themselves even more. Social media can be fake or not, but after all mostly everyone is trying to find beauty. It can be around their house or outside to simply capture the perfect photo for their accounts.
If you are not stuck all day on your social media accounts, trying to get inspiration, then I don’t think it is bad at all. You just need to connect with the right sources for yourself. Try to find your true inspiration out there.
